Job Opening: Software Engineer
Location: Redwood City, CA
NewlineNoosh provides technology powered print procurement BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) services that enable enterprises to drive down print costs, improve visibility and control, and ensure brand consistency.
We manage all categories of commercial print: collateral, direct mail, point of sale, display and promotional products. Our solution includes:
- Business Benefits Assessment study
- On site staff of print management sourcing and technology experts
- Noosh 5, our best of breed, web-based, print management application and processes that enable best practices for: sourcing & procurement, reporting, supply chain management and digital asset management
- Deployment and integration services
Noosh 5, our best of breed, web application is core to our success. Currently more than $800 M of print a year is transacted on Noosh with over 5,000 companies that are using our service daily. Our customers run a lot of business on Noosh which translates to additional demand from the application on both enhancements and customizations.
Hence, we have an opening at our Integration & Customization, (I&C) team part of our engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Build new and modify existing app customizations based on field requirements from customers
- Support existing web-based customer implementations
- Work with Professional Services to provide implementation estimates
- Work with Quality Assurance to review implementations and ensure that the changes and new additions to the product are comprehensively tested.
- Work with Product Support to review and resolve customer issues.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Web Development
- Strong knowledge of Java
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, Velocity, jQuery and Oracle SQL
- Working knowledge of XML integration standards such as SOAP and xCBL
- Working knowledge of tools such as Perforce, TOAD, Ant, Eclipse and JBuilder are a plus
- Excellent analytical skills
- Must be fluent in English and proficient at articulating technical designs and constructs to both technical and non-technical persons
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
